William Richard Tinney was born in July 1884, his father, George, was 30 and his mother, Emily, was 28. He married Alice Constance Hunt on 8 July 1906 in Clerkenwell, Middlesex. They had four children during their marriage. He died as a young father in October 1913 at the age of 29.
