Walter Tipler is an Anzac who served in World War Two.

Biography

Walter John Tipler, sixth child and fourth son of George Augustus Tipler and his wife Agnes Eveline Stieller was born on 12th December 1911 at Kaimata near Inglewood in Taranaki, New Zealand.

On 16th July 1946 Wally married Betty Elizabeth Crozier at New Plymouth. In the next decade the couple had four daughters. By this time Wally seems to have been farming on his own account.

On 25th July 1976 Wally died at Stratford in Taranaki at the age of 64.

He was buried at the Ngaere Cemetery in Eltham, in the Returned Services Association [RSA] section, New Plot #4239, Block 11, Old Plot #19.
