Biography
George was born in 1878 in Aspley Guise in Bedfordshire, England, the son of Henry Tipple and Julia Grace. He grew up In Aspley Guise and started working for the railroad in Bedford in 1897 at age 19. At age 21 in 1900, he married Elizabeth Goldsmith there. The couple remained in Bedford where George continued to work for the railroad over the years as a porter and guard. They had two children, one of whom died young. George died in Bedford in 1949 at age 70.

George's wife Elizabeth died a year after George in 1950.
