Matthew Tisdale, the son of Ephraim Jr. and Ruth Strange Tisdale, was born in New Brunswick on June 7, 1787. He was a twin to sister Joanna; Their parents, the twins and brother Samuel came to Long Point, Ontario in 1808.[1]
Matthew married Abigail Hunt Axford and they had eight children:[1]
Matthew died in St. Thomas, Ontario on March 17, 1875. He is buried in the Old English Church Cemetery.[1]
