John Clark Tittle II was born 7 Oct 1891 in Morgan, Bosque Co., Texas, USA ^{[1] [2]} to John Clark Tittle I and Mary Jane Wright. ^[3] He fought in the U.S. Army in WW I, enlisting on 29 Mar 1918, ^[4] obtaining the rank of 2nd Lt. ^[5] in the 5th Inf Rep Regiment on 26 Aug 1918, ^[6] and was honorably discharged on 11 Dec 1918. ^[6] He married Lilian Marion Ware on 26 Dec 1924 in Austin, Travis, Texas, USA. ^[7]
