ANOTHER PIONEER OF RENO COUNTY IS DEAD
Mrs. Lois B. Miller Passed Away at Home of Daughter This Morning.
With the death of Mrs. Lois B. Miller practically the last of the pioneer women of Reno county is gone. Her death occurred this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Olive Ramsey, of 107 Seventh avenue west. Death was due to old age and a general breaking down.
Lois B. Miller came to Hutchinson in 1871 and with her husband settled on the first claim in Reno county, which is now part of the north section of the city. She was an active member of the Presbyterian church and was affiliated with many of the church activities. At the time of her death she was past 92 years of age.
For the past ten years she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ramsey. Besides Mrs. Ramsey she is survived by one son Sidney D. Miller of 200 Eighth avenue east and a great many grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon from the home at 3 o'clock. Rev James Edgar Wilson assisted by Rev. Seward Baker, will have charge of the service. The remains will be laid to rest in the Eastside cemetery beside the grave of her husband.
