Biography

Augustus Tiver was born in Wales.

Augustus was the son of Charles Tiver, a mason, and Caroline Leyson, and was born in 1858 in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales.^[1]

In 1862 Augustus emigrated to South Australia with his family on the SS Sir John Lawrence, which departed London on 22nd July, and Plymouth 2nd August. It arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on 30th October.^[2]

On 27th September 1879 Augustus married Mary Prior at Redruth, now Burra, South Australia.^[3] .
