Ed H. Tixier, former Albuquerque resident, died Monday at Green Valley, Ariz., suburb of Tucson, of a heart attach suffered while playing golf. He was 63.
A long-time resident of Clayton and a graduated of Clayton High School. Tixier was a retired employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs at Window Rock, Ariz., and before that was an employee of the Commodity Credit Corp. in Albuquerque, he also operated a stock farm for a time in the Valencia area near Los Lunas.
Survivors in addition to his widow, Dorothy, include two sons, Maj. Ed L. Tixier, stationed in Tucson with the Air Force and now attending the War College at Leavenworth, Kan., and John Stanley Tixier of Taos, with the Forest Service. Both are graduates of Albuquerque High School. Surviving relatives in Albuquerque include his mother, Mrs. M. G. Tixier; two brothers, W. F. and A. J. Tixier, and three sisters, Mrs. Herbert Wilcox, Mrs. Rose Southern and Nita Tixier. Other survivors are a brother L. W. Tixier of Los Osos, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. John Zurick of Stead, N.M., and a half brother, John Tixier of Taos.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
