I was born on Maryland's Eastern Shore on the Delmarva Peninsula. I am the son of Robert Walston Todd (1930-1985) and Joy Loraine Esham (1925-2003) both of whom were born in Berlin, Worcester, Maryland. I am the father of 4 children and the grandfather of 3.

I was in the first graduating class of the Worcester Preparatory School, Berlin, Maryland. I received a bachelor's degree from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and my juris doctor from Nova University Law Center in Davie, Florida.

I spent 30 years as a criminal prosecutor in Maryland and am now in the private practice of law in Worcester County, Maryland.

I have been researching my ancestry for at least 20 years and continue to be fascinated by it. I have a few dead-ends in my research that I continue to resolve.
