David was born in 1788. He was the son of John Todd and Jane (or Jean) Lowry.
He married Sarah Dickson Smith. The marriage bond was signed in Mercer county, Kentucky in 1813.[1]
They had a large family.
They moved from Kentucky to Parke county, Indiana where they were located in 1830 and 1840.[2][3] In 1830, brother John Todd was listed adjacent on the listing, and his widowed sister-in-law Eliza Dickson (aka Dixon) was also listed following that for David Todd.
They were in Peru, Miami county, Indiana in 1850.[4]
Sarah passed away in 1855. In 1860, David was living in the household of his son James H. Todd in Peru.[5]
David passed away in 1866 and was buried in Mount Hope cemetery in Peru, Miami, Indiana.[6]
