Biography

Ann Todd was born November 26, 1729, in New London Township, Chester county, Pennsylvania, a daughter of John Todd, II and Margaret Ann Cane. On May 26, 1750 at the New Garden Friends Meeting (Quaker Church), Ann married John Powell, born August 19, 1727, in Kennett Township, Chester county, Pennsylvania, a son of Quaker parents, Thomas Powell and Elizabeth Musgrave.
