Alan was born in 1921. He was the son of Louis Toffler and Pearl Rosen. He passed away in 2003 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Arling, Virginia, USA[1][2]

"TOFFLER, BRIGADIER GENERAl (RET) ALAN ROSS TOFFLER Alan was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, on June 15, 1921. He was the only child of Louis and Pearl Toffler, but he grew up surrounded by extended family. Alan, affectionately called Buddy or Toff, attended the University of Missouri and, upon graduation enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in World War II."[3]
Brigadier General Alan Ross Toffler had a long and distinguished military career. He is survived by RoseMary, their two sons and daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, and one great-granddaughter.
