Sarah was born about 1876-1881in Russia.
She married Albert Gilbert about 1897. They had at least four children. Three (Emil, Leo, and Dora) were born in Brooklyn, New York between 1898-1907. The fourth child was born and passed away about 1900-1911. They moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania sometime between 1910-1918.
Sarah passed away on October 14, 1963 in Philadelphia and is interred at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. The headstones of Sarah and her husband, Albert, are both inscribed with an "A. R." symbol. This represents Arbeter Ring, an American Jewish organization dedicated to social and economic justice. The Arbeter Ring later became The Workmen's Circle.
