Jane Tollemache was baptised on 30 September, 1629, at Great Fakenham (Fakenham Magna), Suffolk, England.
She was the daughter of Sir Lionel Talmache, of Helmingham, Sussex, Bart.[1]
She was married to Thomas Cholmondeley of Vale Royal, Cheshire, esq,[1] son of Thomas Cholmondeley and his wife, Elizabeth Minshull.

An hatchment inside St Bartholomew's Church at Church Minshull, Cheshire, contains the inscription:[1]
In the middle of this chancel lieth interred the body of Jane, daughter of Sir Lionel Talmache, of Helmingham, in the County of Sussex, Bart., and late the wife of Thomas Cholmondeley, of Vale Royal, in the County Palatine of Chester, Esq., by whom she had several sons and daughters, of whom Robert, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary, Anne, and Dianna were living at her death. She died the 14th day of April, AD 1666.
