Elizabeth was born in 1802 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Jacob Isaac Tomlin of Edgefield, South Carolina 1770-1841 (died in Morgan County, Georgia) and Rebecca 1774-1842, also of Edgefield, South Carolina. She and Robert Lee married 14 January 1829 in Morgan County, Georgia. They had at least 6 and possibly 8 children. She passed away in 1869 at the age of 67.
