Oamaru Mail 30.8.1910 (Page 6) ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES. (Pee Peess Association.) Nelson, August 29. Arthur Tomlinson, licensee of the Tophouse Hotel, died suddenly- on Saturday afternoon. At an inquest today a verdict of heart failure was returned.
Nelson Evening Mail 29.8.1910 (Page 6) SUDDEN DEATH AT TOPHOUSE. MR ARTHUR TOMLINSON. Mr. Arthur Tomlinson. licensee of the Top House Accommodation House, died suddenly at 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. On the instruction of the Coroner the body was brought to Wakefield, where an inquest. was heId by Mr. J. S. Evans, S.M.. Coroner, this morning Evidence was given by Dr. Pearless, and the Coroner found that death was due to heart failure, following on fatty degeneration of the heart. The deceased leaves a. widow and five children. The remains were interred at Wakefield this afternoon.
