In the Name of God Amen I Agur Tomlinfon of Stratford in the County of fairfield & Colony of Connecticut in New England being under bodily weaknefs - yet through the goodnefs of god of sound mind & memory thanks be given to God - & Calling to mind the Mortality of my body & knowing that is appointed for men once to dye - do make & ordain this to be my last will & Testament in manner & form following - that is to fay - first of all I Commit my foul into the hands of God that Gave itt - hoping for falvations through the merits of death & pafsion of my dear faviour and Redeemer the lord Jefus christ & my body after this life to be decently buryed in the Earth at the discretion of my Executo’r here after named - Nothing doubting but that I shall know it again at the General Refurrection by the Mighty power of God - as for what worldly goods it hath pleafed god to belfs me with in this life after Just debts and funeral charges are paid I freely give and bequeath as followeth -
ITEM I freely Give & bequeath to my dear & loving wife abigail one third part of my Moveable Eftate to be her own to ufe & improve as she shal think fitt both in life & at death - alfo I freely Give to my faid loving wife the improvement of two thirds of my dwelling houfe & lands as her dower to ufe & improve dureing the time she shal Remain my widow: -
ITEM I freely Give & bequeath to my Granfon Jofiah wilcokfon twenty pounds & to my Grandfon timothy wilcokfon I freely give ten pounds to be paid by my Executors out of my Eftate
ITEM I freely Give to abigail price my kinfwoman that now dwells with me one milch Cow provided she dwell with me or my wife til she attaine to ye age of Eighteen years - [?] it with my Faid wife to to give her what she shal fee Caufs: -
ITEM al th Remainder of my whole Eftate both Real and perfonall Moveable & unmoveable not given by this last will I freely give and bequeath to my loving and kind fon Zachariah tomlonfon to him his heirs & afsigns lying in the bounds of Stratford or elfe where & I do by this My last will Conftitute ordain & appoint my fd fon Zachariah Tomlinfon fole & only Executor of this my last will freely Revoking and making Null & void al former wills by me made I do declare this & only this as above written to be my last will & testatment in Witnefs I fet my hand & affix my feal this twentythird day of october in the year of our lord god one thoufand feven hundred twenty feven
