Frederick H Tompkins was born February 21, 1850 at Hyde Park, Dutchess, New York^[1] and baptized December 20, 1850 at Hyde Park Reformed Church, Hyde Park, Dutchess, New York^[2] A Frederick Tompkins was a store clerk in Poughkeepsie in 1880, but it might also have been Frederick the son of Israel Tompkins of Poughkeepsie.
