On 3 November 1892 Alice Emma Tonks was born to Arthur Tonks and Maria Greathead. [1]
On 22 November 1911 Alice Emma Tonks and Edwin Thomas Bowden were married. [2]
In 1914 she lived in Hutt Rd, and in 1919 139 Wallace St, Wellington South.
In December 1919 Alice successfully sued for divorce on the grounds of misconduct. The suit was undefended.[3]

A LOAD OFF HER SHOULDERS. On the ground of misconduct Alice Emma Bowden sought a divorce from Edwin Thomas Bowden. She said Bowden had not supported her for the last two years, and she had heard he was living with someone else. Maria Tonks, the petitioner's mother, deposed that Bowden had not supported his wife for some time. Witness had seen the respondent two days ago and he said he hoped the divorce was granted; it would take a big load off his shoulders. A decree nisi was granted.
On 10 January 1921 Alice Emma Bowden and Charles Henry Lockhart Tucker were married. [5]
In 1922 she lived at 139 Wallace St, and subsequently until 1943 at 44 Seatoun Rd, Wellington
They divorced in July 1932, but she kept Tucker as her surname.. [6]

In 1939 Charles remarried.
On 28 April 1962 a person called Alice Tonks passed away, aged 72. [7] The age at death is not a good match for Emma born November 1892.
