Will proved at York 21 February 1551/1552, vol 13 folio 825 "Toppham, Robert (bur. Lynton), Jan. 21, 5 Ed. VI".[1] The will is summarised by D L Tappan in his book Tappan genealogy: "He made his will in January, 1550, which was proved in the Archbishop's court at York in February of the same year. In this will he mentions his sons, Edward, Thomas, John, William and Robert; his daughter, Agnes; he leaves a legacy to Ellen Topham and appoints his son, Robert, executor."[2] Tappan gives January and February 1550 but the wills index has January and February 1551/1552.
