Isak Torkelson married Marta Gjertsdotter in 1735. They lived at Leirstein.^[1] Their children were:

• Johanna, married to Tegland^[1]
• Anna, born 1753, married to Torkel Bolstad who managed the parsonage about 1795^[1]
• Elsa, born 1756, married to Henrik Mikkelson, lived at Helland on Tysnes^[1]

Isak was baptized on 26 July 1699. He was the son of Torkel Jansen and Marita (Isaksdotter) Hjartnes.
