Biography

Ezra Scollay Stearns, Moses Thurston Runnels, Plymouth (N.H.). Town, History of Plymouth, New Hampshire: vol. I. Narrative--vol. II ..., Volume 2, Google Books, 3. Jacob Sellingham, son of Henry and grandson of Jacob, b. Ashburnham, Mass., 1761. Was a soldier with his brother Henry in Col. Scammell's Continental Regiment. He m. in Plymouth, Sept . 14, 1781, Hannah Torrey, and lived in Thornton and Woodstock. He was a pensioner and was living 1840. He had nine children. His dau. Hannah m John B. Paige (see).

12642, DANIEL TORREY. He was b. abt. 1753 and d. June 30, 1794 at Fort Recovery, Ohio in action with Indians. His residence July 24, 1775 was Thornton. NH. when he is recorded as "aged 22, occupation yeoman." "Daniel Torrey from Thornton, NH enlisted July 10, 1775" and "Daniel Torrey from Brentwood NH, enlisted May 8, 1777."

1264B. PRISCILLA TORREY, husband JAMES SHURTLEFF, m. Aug. 22. 1773. She was b. Oct. 2. 1754 at Plymouth, Mass. and (1. at Litchfield. He was b. July 21, 1715 at Plymouth and d. Jan. 16, 1832 at Litchfield, Mass.; son of James and Joannah (Tupper) ; m. 2nd Dorcas ___ m. 3rd Nov 8, 1827 Rhoda Mitchell.
