Biography
Edward Tovey was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland, in about 1825.[1]
In 1881, the Tovey family was living in the Bathurst Division of Ontario. Edward's wife, "Bekca," was 51, born in Ontario, as were all their children: "Thersa" (age 20), James (age 14), "Elizebeth" (age 11), and "Harriety" (age 8).[2] In 1891, the census recorded their residence as Sub-district of Bathurst, District of Lanark South, Ontario. [3]
Edward Tovey died on 25 Feb 1890, in Bathurst Division, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.[4] He was buried in Saint John's Parish Cemetery in Perth, Lanark County, Ontario.[5]
