April 1943 - Claiming she struck him on numerous occasions and had once threatened his life, Howard L. Tower of Augusta sought a divorce from his wife, Florence A. Tower of Randolph, in a contested action heard before Judge Nathaniel Tompkins at Kennebec County Superior Court Thursday (8 April 1943).
Tower said that his wife once threw plates and dishes at him after a quarrel they had in their home. On other occasions she threw pieces of wood at him and once had hit him with a monkey wrench knocking him unconscious, he testified.
The couple was married June 4, 1932, and separated in March, 1940.
Florence A. Tower denied that she has struck her husband but said that he had struck her and chocked her. Raymond Brann, a witness stated that Tower had once struck Mrs. Tower and knocked her across the room.
Mrs. Ada Lanthrop of Randolph, Mrs. Tower's mother, said Mrs. Tower had not thrown dishes at her husband but that he had been choking her at the time.
George H. Hunt and Ernest L. McLean, Augusta, represented the libelant in the contested action while Philip E. Lamb, Gardiner, was attorney for Mrs. Tower. [9]
April 1943 - Superior Justice Raymond Fellows granted the divorce of Harold L. Tower, Pittston, from Florence A. Tower, Randolph for cruel and abusive treatment in the April term of the court. They were married June 4, 1932 at Randolph. [10]

Aug. 1933 - Harold Tower and his wife Florence Tower testified that they saw Richard Crocker of Randolph with a string of gold beads a day after he was alleged to have stolen from the home of Ella Brookings of Pittston. [17]

June 1949 - Harold L. Towers, of Windsor [ME], was named defendant in two suits seeking $3,500 damages brought by a Waterville couple who claimed to have been struck down by the Towers' machine. John F. and Laura Adams sued Towers stating htat [sp] no [sp] Dec. 31 of last year, as they walked along the sidewalk on College Avenue, Waterville. Towers operated his car in a negligent manner so that he ran across the sidewalk, knocking them down. Laura Adams asked for $2,500 damages, claiming serious injuries. John Adams sought $1,000 damages.[20]

Obituary
AUGUSTA — Harold L. Tower, 68, of Togus Stream Road, died Thursday afternoon at his home after a long illness.
He was born April 30, 1911, in Pittston, the son of Sandy and Leslie (Hasson) Tower.
He was the former owner of Tower’s Garage, Windsor, and a member of the Chelsea Senior Citizens.
He is survived by one son, Harold L. Tower, Jr. of Augusta; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Cookson, Helen C. Tower and Lynn M. Tower, all of Augusta; three brothers, George Coston of West Gardiner, and Chester Coston and Lynwood Coston, both of Chelsea; five sisters, Mrs. Stella Skidgel of Gardiner, and Mrs. Lucy Plummer, Mrs. Augusta Lint, Mrs. Martha Hood and Mrs. Mary Dyer, all of Chelsea; two granddaughters, one great grandson, and several nieces and nephew and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 53 Bruswick Ave., Gardiner, Saturday at 1 p.m. [30]

In his Marriage record Sandy Tower was the son of Mary Tower and Lauri Cray. I have a note that Mary was born born in Moncton, New Brunswick about 1850. Can anyone help with this?
