Thomas Critchett was an early settler of the town of Sanbornton, New Hampshire. He was fairly established as the owner of land, in Lot No. 25, First Division in July, 1770, when the first road was returned. His house on that lot was at Site 1, some 60 rods back from the Bay at the old Copp place. He married Miss ______ Towle, from Meredith. He afterwards lived opposite the present John Perkins' Site 1, Lot No. 51, First Division, being there in 1705. He last removed to Canada and there died. His widow remained in the household of her daughter, Lydia, where she died January 2, 1823.
