My paternal 3x gGrandfather John Snodgrass was a Major, but unfortunately there is confusion with with other John Snodgrass’s around that time who were also in the HEIC. Please reach out if you think you can help.
Born in Australia, my ancestry is primarily Scottish and Irish.
Although my surname is Towler, my father Walter was born to Merton Oakes Snodgrass and Charlotte Mary Snodgrass (nee Seeley).
Charlotte died a few days after Walter’s birth, and Walter was given to his aunt Hazel Mabel Towler (nee Snodgrass) to raise, and was subsequently adopted.
Hazel had married Thomas Joseph Towler, and they were childless.
In the knowledge that we are all mortal, I hereby request that upon my death, all of my managed profiles of deceased persons including my own profile should be set to full open status. (Please add my year of death.)
I would welcome any relative to then become profile manager and continue this labour of love which I started so many decades ago.

Thanks for taking responsibility for the Orphaned profile of Fanny Boylan. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If the profile needs GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
