Biography

David Towns was born about 1758, possibly in Brunswick, Virginia. He is the son of David Towns and Priscilla Proctor[1] He is named as a son in his father's will.[2]

He married Hannah Fox, the daughter of Richard Fox. An indenture related to her father's estate, dated 7 Feb 1777, identifies Hannah as the wife of David Towns of Bute County, North Carolina, and as an heir of Richard Fox.[3]
