Biography
- Solomon B. Townsend was born in Bath County Virginia in about 1796. He married Margaret Hacker on 19 October 1815.
- (Margaret's parents: William Hacker and Mary Adah née West Hacker, was born February 18, 1796)
- Solomon and Margaret separated about 1850. They are listed in the 1850 census of Gilmer County VA in separate households.
- Solomon married Nancy - maiden name unknown - Conrad about 1850. Nancy was born in Randolph County Virginia in about 1824. In the 1850 Gilmer County census, Solomon is listed as the head of household with Nancy Conrad and four Conrad children in residence. By 1860 Nancy and her three youngest children are recorded as Townsends.
