William Job Townsend was born on 24 July 1885 in Westbury, Colony of Tasmania[1]. His parents were William TOWNSEND and Lucinia JONES.
He married Emma Auty on 9 May 1914 at St. Paul's Congregational Church, North Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia.[2]
