Biography
Lucy Maria Townsend was born 10 May 1831, daughter of Daniel Townsend (b. 1786) & Elizabeth (Hart; 1797 - 1860).
She married 1 Jan 1852 Henry Holton Breed (1829-1903) [1].
They had 4 children:
- Willard Holton Breed (14 Aug 1853 - 1 Jul 1858)
- Ada Maria (Breed; 1859-); married James Warren Andrews
- Elizabeth Townsend (Breed; 1861-1933); married Charles Francis Hayward
- Nellie Edna Breed (16 Aug 1867 - 6 Feb 1870)
Lucy Maria (Townsend) Breed passed away 21 Apr 1922. Her grave is in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA [2].
Notes
Lucy Maria Townsend was a great-granddaughter of Zerviah (Upton) Townsend (abt.1744-1775) and Daniel Townsend (1738-1775) who was killed at Menotomy, Massachusetts, 19 Apr 1775, in the Revolutionary War.
