Biography

Fred was born in Indiana [1, 3-5] in 1886 to Lawson & Mary Etta (Degoldier) Townsend [6]. He married Sophia Flohr in Indiana in 1907. They raised a family on one child, a daughter. Another child died at birth. Fred worked as a farmer [1, 3-5]. Fred died in 1972 [6] and was buried in Mt. Hope Athens Cemetery in Fulton County, Indiana.
