DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
Tozier-107 and Tozer-6 appear to represent the same person because: Based on birth date and the alternating generations of Richard and Thomas in the pedigree, these appear to be the same person.
Is it likely that the son of Thomas Tozer was born in Connecticut the same year his supposed father was living (and died) in Berwick, Maine? Further, Richard Tozer Jr., son of Richard Tozer Sr. (abt 1633-1675) was listed as the executor of his mother's (Judith's) will in 1683. There were, according to several accounts, brothers of Richard Sr. in the colonies. Perhaps this Richard was Richard Sr's nephew?
