Biography

Marin Trahan is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 9 right, Le Saint Remi. With him is his second wife Marguerite Ino [Juon]and 6 children from his first marriage to Marie Madeleine LeBlanc: Jean Baptiste, Jean Marie, Francois, Magdeleine, Marguerite and Barbe.[1]


Francoise Barbe Trahan was born on January 29, 1774 in Morlaix, France. Her parents were Marin Jean Baptiste Trahan and Marie Magdelaine LeBlanc. [2]

8 January 1794 : Marriage (with Alexis Simon LEJEUNE) - Plattenville, Assumption, LA[4]

She died in June 1833 in Thibodaux, Lafourche, Louisiana, USA. [5]
