Ann, fourth child and second daughter of Joseph and Catherine Pattemore Trask, was born in late 1806 and subsequently baptised 4 Jan 1807 at All Saints' Church, named for her elder sister who died young two years prior. The family, like most of the village, practiced agricultural labouring and gardening, and were listed among Merriott's poor in surviving registers of the time.
She married Joseph Hooper at All Saints' Church on 28 Dec 1828.
Joseph and Ann never strayed far from the area, living at Merriottsford in 1851 and Pye Corner in successive censuses. Her husband was primarily occupied as a gardener, also appearing in an earlier census as a "coal carrier".
Her burial was recorded at Merriott on 12 Dec 1885, aged 81, presumably interred at the parish churchyard. Her husband survived her.
