Th head of the household is Samuel Carter a Gas Mains Layer, his wife is Fredersick S (this is correctly transcribed but there may have been a written issue in the original census), John Trattles is described as son and there is an Alfred Trattles aged 20 described as a nephew and a blooming engine minder by profession. They are all from Stockton apart from Frederick who is from Richmond, North Yorkshire. [4]
In 1911 Samuel, Frederica and John James are living at 91 Costa St Middlesbro, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England. Samuel is a Gas-Main Layer and John James is a Plumbers Apprentice. [5]
