On September 3, 1902, Alice married Edward Franklin Travis in Pelham Township, North Carolina in Caswell County. Her race was listed as white on her marriage record. Her father's name was listed as Robert and her mother's name was listed as Nannie (no maiden name given).[1]
In 1910, Alice was living with her husband and children in Reidsville, North Carolina in Rockingham County. Her race was listed as white on the census report.[2]
In 1930, Alice was living with her husband and children on their farm on Ferry Road in Tunstall, Virginia in Pittsylvania County.[3]
In 1940, Alice now a widow was living with her children on their farm on Ferry Road in Tunstall, Virginia in Pittsylvania County.[4]
On December 21, 1968, Alice died of Congestive Heart Failure in Danville, Virginia. [5] Her funeral services were held at Swicegood Chapel by Rev. Lawrence Gentry and Rev. Bob Cauthen. Her obituary states that she was of the Baptist faith. She was buried at Danville Memorial Gardens.[6]
