Merle travis is an American Country and Western Music singer, songwriter, and guitarist, noted for his innovative style of playing the guitar. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1977.
Merle was born on November 29, 1917 in Muhlenbur County, Kentucky. [1] [2] [3] [4] He passed away on 20 Oct 1983 in Talequah, Cherokee, Oklahoma and was buried in the Ebenezer Cemetery, in Ebenezer, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky near his birthplace. [2] [3]
