Lawrence Treadwell is a part of US Black heritage.

Lawrence D. Treadwell graced the world with his presence on November 16, 1908, in the charming town of Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. Born to Edward Treadwell and Pearl Mae (Goins) Treadwell, he brought joy and light to those around him from the very beginning.

During his early years, Lawrence's family lived on Terace Street in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he experienced the warmth of home and the love of his parents. As he grew, he continued to spread his infectious smile and kind demeanor, endearing himself to the hearts of everyone he met.

In 1940, Lawrence was an esteemed member of the Hot Springs community, working as a bellhop, making every guest feel welcomed and valued. His hospitality and graciousness shone through in every interaction, earning him the admiration of both locals and visitors.

On August 30, 1945, Lawrence's life took an even more beautiful turn when he married Mary E. Williams in Garland County, Arkansas. Their union was a testament to love and commitment, and they shared many cherished moments together.

In the 1950s, Lawrence continued to be a pillar of the Hot Springs community, residing on Widow Street and working as a porter at the gift shop. His presence brought comfort and cheer to those he served, and his dedication to his work was truly remarkable.

As time passed, Lawrence's journey took him to new horizons, and he eventually settled in Washington, District of Columbia. He embraced the opportunities that life presented, leaving a trail of kindness and warmth wherever he went.

In February 1983, Lawrence's journey in this world came to a close in Washington, District of Columbia. Though he may have left this earthly realm, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Lawrence D.
