Services for Nora Bell Alexander, 86, who made her home in Freeport since 1981, will be at 2pm Monday at the Commerce First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Pierce and Rev Earnest Walt officiating. Burial will be in Rosemund Cemetery with W.Y. Goff Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Alexander died Saturday in Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Freeport.
She was born April 22, 1898 in Georgia to Zeb and Sarah Ann Horn Treadwell. She was married to Bertie Alexander on Dec 24, 1921 in Commerce and he preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors are a son, Vernard Alexander of Freeport, and three sisters, Mrs. F.C. Tucker and Mrs. Norma Robertson of Commerce and Mrs. Willy Berry of Fort Worth.
