James Nathaniel Treadwell, 72, of Colorado City, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, in Abilene.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kermit City Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Shields officiating.

Arrangements are by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.

He was born in Colorado City.

Survivors Wife, Peggy Dodd Treadwell of Colorado City; son, Gregg Treadwell of Kermit; daughters, Tracy Stewart of Wink, Debbie Everett and Julie Rollins, both of Colorado City; brother, Jerry Treadwell of Houston; sister, Peggy Porter of Monahans; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Posted: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 12:00 am Colorado City J.N. Treadwell, age 72, died on Friday, September 14, 2007, in Abilene. He was born to Luther Woodrow and Jimmie Anderson Treadwell in Colorado City on July 9, 1935. Mr. Treadwell retired from Marathon Oil Company with 30 years of service and then operated his own business, Treadwell Pumping Service. He was a resident of Colorado City since 1996 and a member of Belvue Baptist Church in Kermit. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy Everett; sister, Joe Erwin. Mr. Treadwell leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Peggy Dodd Treadwell of Colorado City; daughters, Debbie Everett and husband, Mike of Colorado City, Julie Rollins and husband, Steve of Colorado City, Tracy Stewart and husband, Craig of Wink; son, Gregg Treadwell of Kermit; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Justin and Josh Everett, Stephen Treadwell, Aaron Swenson, Cory and Bryce Stewart; great-grandchildren: Tristin, Hannah, Hallie Everett, Alyssa and Kade Swenson; sister, Peggy Porter of Monahans; brother, Jerry Treadwell of Houston. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007, at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Kermit City Cemetery in Kermit with Reverend Jerry Shields officiating.
