John Treat was born 17 Nov 1755 in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut, USA[1]

His parents were John Treat and Anna Bryan.[1]

He married twice:

  1. 26 February 1789 to Esther Hine ( - 28 March 1792)[2] [3]
  1. 1 May 1794 to Esther Clark (23 August 1770 - 30 March 1845)[2]

Child by first wife born in North Milford (now Orange), Connecticut:

  • Esther Eunice (20 March 1790 - ?), married Walter Smith of Ridgefield, Connecticut on 24 December 1809.

Children by second wife born in North Mildord.

  2. Elizabeth Ann (1797-1821)
  3. Garry (1799-1847)
  4. Andrew (1800-1888)
  5. Richard Bryan (1803-1871)

Research Notes

There are multiple SAR applications showing his death year as 1809 and death place as Orange, Connecticut. [5]

These same applications apply to his daughter Esther (1805-1889) who married Sylvester Barnes.
