WEDDING REPORT. TREE—QUARTERMAINE. On Wednesday evening last at St. Andrew's Church, Katanning, a quiet, but very pretty wedding was celebrated between Alfred Sydney, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Tree, of Katanning, and Clara Ethel, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Quartermaine, of Katanning, Canon W. Burbidge officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father looked extremely pretty in a dress of white silk, with trimmings of cream silk lace, and wore the usual wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of lillies and white carnations and asparagus fern, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid, Miss Elsie Quartermaine (sister of the bride), was attired in a white embroidered muslin, white silk hat with violet flowers, and carried a bouquet of violet flowers, Mr. B. Overington acting as best man. After the ceremony the party returned to the residence of the bride's parents where the wedding breakfast was served. Owing to relatives being at the front only relatives of the bride and bridegroom were present. After the usual toasts had been proposed and honored the happy couple motored to Katanning to catch the express for Albany. The bride's travelling dress was navy blue silk poplin, black silk hat and red berries. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold extension wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle, bride to bridegroom, gold sleeve links. Numerous other valuable and useful presents were received, including a presentation from the Katanning Brass Band of which the bridegroom is a member.
