Biography

Jane was born about 1845. She is the daughter of Mark Terfry and Olivia Kelley.^[1]

On December 26, 1864, she married George Turner of Wilmot, Nova Scotia.^[2][3][4][5]

Together they immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts and raised 6 children together: Minnie (born in Nova Scotia), Jessie, Annie, Frank, Florence, and Grace.^[6][7][8][1]

Research Notes

Name: Jennie often appears as "Jennie R." in historical sources, but it's not clear what the R stands for yet. Similarly, I haven't yet found evidence that her middle name was Olivia. Turner-19440 19:51, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Dates: Jennie's Find-A-Grave profile lists her death date as 2 October 1922. However, the photo of her actual gravestone says only "1922." It would good to find at least 1-2 more sources for the October date. Turner-19440 06:51, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
