Biography

Thomasine "Tamze" Trefry was born Feb 22, 1806, the daughter of Joshua Pitman Trefry and Elizabeth Kinney of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[1] [2]

She married Captain William Clements, 3rd son of Elkanah Clements[1] [3] and had children, including:

  1. George Clements (Captain) , born circa 1823 [4] who married Sarah Holmes, daughter of Captain Kendall Holmes of Hantsport; and then married Martha Ellen Dickie of Cornwallis on April 17, 1860[5] [6]
  2. William Clements (Captain), born circa 1825, who married Sarah Robertson, daughter of William Robertson of Windsor, NS on February 6, 1857, and who died 15 January 1897[7]
  3. Mary Clements, born circa 1827[8]who married Stephen Hilton, son of Captain Stephen Hilton on October 8, 1846[1]
  4. Deborah Clements, born circa 1829[9], who married Captain Jacob Crosby, son of Captain Nathan Crosby on April 17, 1844[10]
  5. Alice Clements, born 1833, who married William H Robertson of Halifax circa 1853[11]
  6. Lucy Clements, born circa 1836, who died in 1854, unmarried[12]
  7. Kelley Clements, born circa 1838 who died unmarried[13]
