Biography

Elizabeth Trefry was born circa 1838 in Nova Scotia[1] Her gravestone, however, shows March 18, 1837, as her date of birth[2]. On March 4, 1857, she married John Andrews[3], and had children[1][4], including:

  1. David Andrews born circa 1860
  2. Simeon Andrews, born circa 1861, who married Mary Webster in 1905 in Massachusetts[5], and who died in 1918[6]
  3. Jane Andrews born circa 1863
  4. Abel C Andrews born 25 Sep 1865, who died May 26, 1928[7]
  5. Ansel Andrews, born in October 1866, died April 1867[8]
  6. Ansel Andrews, born May 29, 1869[9]
  7. Mary Lillian Andrews born 19 March, 1871[10], who married John Gray in 1897[11]
  8. Rosebel Andrews born circa 1873

John died sometime before the 1881 Census. Elizabeth is noted as a widow when she married a widower, Miner Gray from Rockingham (Halifax County) in 1886[12] Her parents are noted here as Joshua and Sarah.

Here is a link on Ancestry.ca that suggests she is the daughter of Joshua Trefry and Sarah Hurlburt

She died 1 Apr 1916 in Bourne, Barnstable Massachusetts[13] Elizabeth P. Gray was buried at Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.[2]
