Elizabeth was baptized September 8, 1771, the daughter of Joshua Trefry and Mary Allen of Yarmouth Nova Scotia. [1]. Her baptism was recorded in Marblehead, Essex, Massachusetts, so it is possible the family remained in New England while the Nova Scotia land grant was being settled by the men. Alternatively her birth in Yarmouth was registered in the 'home' parish.

According to the Yarmouth genealogy, noted here, she married a man who settled in Halifax named Tufts[2]. No further record found.

Likely two different people. Probably the 1771 Elizabeth died young. There is only one girl on the 1773 census return for Joshua Pitman Trefry in Yarmouth, and that would be his daughter Mary.
