Hersey was born in 1914. He was the son of Wilbert Tremblay and Aurelie Pontbriand. He passed away in 2005.

Sometimes, a bootlegger would hide their car from the police or if it broke down.

Meanwhile at the WILBUR TROMBLY farm a young HERSEY TROMBLY got a call one night from some bootleggers saying they had their car behind his barn. They offered him a bottle of liquor for hiding their car, and he drank some of it the next day. The bootleggers soon came back, fixed the car, and went on their way. One evening, when the Trombly family was sitting at the supper table, the kitchen door slammed open and a man said, “Where can I hide?” Right behind him was Officer Hamilton McRae of the boarder patrol. The man took one look and jumped right through the closed kitchen window. His neck got caught in the clothesline across the porch. He got up and ran across the road to Bill Bechard’s yard and right into another clothesline. That is where McRae caught up with him. When he got out of jail, the man came back and paid the Tromblys for the window. (Story told by Lyles Trombly.) [1]

He married on the 18 Apr 1942 in St Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville, NY., to Elenore Marguerite Reid, the daughter of Richard Joseph Reid and Evelyn Mae Bell. This union brought six children into the world.

Yes, I am not very familiar with WikiTree and only intended to correct an error, not create a new profile. Oops! The error I was correcting was in the name of his father, Wilbur Trombly. Also, Dad's name is misspelled as 'Hershey' in at least one place. Can we somehow add these corrections to the Trombly-591profile? In any case, I agree to the merge. Also, many of his brothers are incorrectly listed with a last name of Tremblay. None of us ever used the name Tremblay. Most of my aunts and uncles lived within a five mile radius of us, we saw each other frequently, and I went to school with their children. None of our school records, histories or service records will show 'Tremblay'.

Trombly-591 and Trombly-589 appear to represent the same person because: Same profile and needs to be merged
