Thanks for helping build our shared family tree.
For pre-1700 profiles, reliable sources - that people can find from the profile - are required. Many of the profiles I have seen of yours do not have such sources. Would you please add them to your existing profiles, as well as to any additional profiles you create? Here is a page that might help, in addition to the pages that Dave provided earlier. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Reliable_Sources_for_Pre-1700_Profiles
Thank you.
Thanks for your contributions to our tree.
I see that you have been adding pre-1700 profiles tonight using "Family Research" as your source. This is not considered an adequate source for pre-1700 profiles. Would you please review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as our Help page on Sources.
Thank you!
Dave
Thanks for improving your sourcing. But your current sources are still not full enough to be really helpful. Here is a link to a useful guide for source citations on English profiles: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:England_Orphan_Trail:_Citation_templates

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans to understand what to do next.

Since Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential.
The England Project seems to fit your ancestors. Leaders are Wendy Sullivan, and Susie MacLeod. Click the link to read how to join.
Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.
For questions, just ask on my page.

PS If "Page Not Found" error occurs in your email, check your page for this message.
The date fields expect 2 numeric characters (01-31), then the abbreviated month (Jan, Feb, etc), followed by a four character year (1963) for a result of:
13 Jan 1932.
If that is the date format you have been using, please provide a little more information so that I can figure out what is happening and provide better advice.

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?
I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:
Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
