As far as can be determined Robert was the first male TRENHOLM to CONT be born in North America. Robert drowned at sea August 1819, aged 43. CONT Occupation, fisherman. Resided at Cape Tormentine, Botsford Parish, New CONT Brunswick. Religion, Church of England. CONT CONT Robert, age 19, married Katharine SEAMAN, 3 August 1795, Fredericton, New CONT Brunswick. CONT CONT Katharine SEAMAN, born 3 March 1778, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, CONT Canada. Died Cape Tormentine, New Brunswick. Religion, Church of England. CONT (Katharine remarried to William Lane.) Her parents Stephen SEAMAN CONT (1743-1820), and Hannah SMITH were United Empire Loyalists who came to CONT Cumberland from Duchess County, New York in June 1783, and resided in East CONT Wallace, and River Philip, Nova Scotia. In 1812 Stephen's property which CONT had expanded to include most of present day Pugwash, was foreclosed by CONT mortgage holders. In a court decision in 1828 Stephen was awarded cash CONT compensation. Stephen disappeared from Pugwash after 1828 and reappeared CONT in East Wallace and Fort Lawrence. CONT CONT Katharine's grandparents Jacomiah SEAMAN (1720?-1808?) and Margaret BODEE CONT were also United Empire Loyalists who came to North Wallace, Nova Scotia, CONT were farmers from Westchester County/Dutchess County, New York. When the CONT American Revolutionary war broke out, Jacomiah's four sons joined Col. CONT Lowther Pennington's Regiment of King's Guards and so became member of the CONT group known as the Westchester Loyalists. At the conclusion of the war CONT they were forced to join their parents in flight to Nova Scotia. They CONT sailed from New York with the June Fleet in 1783 (perhaps aboard the CONT "Thetis" to Fort Cumberland, NS). They received initial grants of land CONT 1250 acres between Fort Cumberland and Belcher. They also received grants CONT of land in Fanningsborough (North Wallace). CONT CONT Robert and Katharine's children: Stephen (1796-1871?); John 'Squire' CONT (1799-1877); Margaret Jane (1802-1886); William (1804-1874); Phoebe CONT (1805-1857); Robert (1807-1856); Benjamin (1809-1881; Job (1810-1867); CONT Abner Botsford (1812-1883); Hannah (1812-); Ruth Clara (1816-1896); CONT Thomas (1817-1907).
