Edward may have been married to someone else before he married Sarah Jane Miller in 1897, so she is very unlikely to be the mother of the two (reported) eldest children:
He married Sarah Jane Miller (sometimes known as Jennie), daughter of Andrew Miller and Catherine ____ on 11 Sep 1897 in Northumberland County, PA.[1] She remarried after Edward's death. Children:
Edward died of cholecystitis on 4 Oct 1914 in Lower Augusta, Pennsylvania.[2] Mother's name spelled Huffman.
Documentary evidence has been found for Mabel R. Treon (1900 census), Dennis D. Treon, George A. Treon (from Dennis's obituary), Jessie Susanna Treon and Mary S. Treon.
George D. Treon may be the result of confusion between Dennis D. and George A., or he may be a child who died young.
Mabel clearly is unlikely to be the daughter of Sarah Jane Miller, who did not marry Edward until 1897 when Mabel was about 5 years old. This suggests Edward, who was a good deal older than Sarah Jane, had been married previously.
